Premiere Episode: "No Sanctuary" The Walking Dead Season 5

Zombie mayhem is upon us! The Walking Dead season 5 premieres this Sunday on AMC. Let’s take a peek at what’s to come.

The Walking Dead season 5, episode 1 is titled “No Sanctuary,” which may be a reference to the the fact that Rick won’t be happy with hanging around for long at Terminus. Previews for the episode reveal that Rick and his group will be hitting the road for Washington D.C. to find a cure for the infection. It’s good that we doesn’t want to hang around cannibals for too long.

It’ll be interesting to see how this road trip differs from the one that they took to Terminus. Surely they won’t be relying on a train track to make their way up to the nation’s capitol, but we need the new journey to look and feel a lot different. Otherwise? We’ll be bored.

All signs suggest that The Walking Dead season 5, episode 1 is going to be an exciting beginning for the show. Many critics who’ve seen this Sunday’s show say that it’s one of the best episodes since the pilot.

Stills from the episode depict Carol, Tyreese, and baby Judith still out on the road. Meanwhile, Rick and friends are dealing with Gareth and the people of Terminus. Also, poor Daryl is looking upset as he looks out of the train car that the group is trapped in.

Beth is suspiciously absent from these stills. Maybe she won’t be showing up until episode 2?

Earlier this week we offered a little season 4 finale refresher and made some season 5 predictions.
